AIDS. And life goes on... (as long as it does) 2008		Mother w/AIDS, her life goes on. Kids play in front of the house. Some of them might be HIV, too - symbolized by the red. Abstract grey figures - by-standers. The flower symbolizes hope.

Menage de Troi 2006		The question of painting figuratively or abstract is being answered for me by the intented representation. If I want to paint the physical appearance, it's going to be figurative in various grades of realism. If I want to depict impression or emotion, I prefer the abstract!
